Artist: Tara White Photographer, Filmmagker, and Illustrator. This 25 year-old "art student extraordinaire" has rarely magde money off the short films, photographs and drawings that she magkes, but continues to magke work. She grew up in Punxsutawney, PA and was raised by a hard working single mother. The influence of growing up in a smagll town magde White fascinated with class issues, modernity, gender, humor, and distortion. |
White completed a B.A. in Film from the Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. in Integrative Arts from Penn State in 2004. Currently, she is finishing a BFA in Photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
White's art practice is ever evolving, working in documentary, narrative, and experimental modes of photography, film, and illustration. After graduation, White will continue her own projects in addition to working in the industry.
