Hello Everybody, and Welcome to Judy's House.

Happy 2010! It's a new year and a new decade. Yes, new, new new. So, why not find a way to celebrate all this "newness"? My family and I have come up with a few exciting and inventive ways to celebrate this amazing new time!

A NEW HOME - Well, it's new to us at any rate. Really, who needs all those rooms, and how much time did we spend in them anyway? We didn't even enjoy the decor of half the rooms in the house. Why? Cuz' all we ever did in them was SLEEP! Who needs bedrooms? Not my family! All each of us needs is a cozy lil' corner in our NEW RANCH STYLE HOME! No leaky basement to worry about, no tripping up and down stairs. And the kids just love sleepin' on cots. Why, it's just like campin'!

A NEW SCHOOL - for the kids! How silly were WE to send em' off to those pricey private places. Not to mention the price of uniforms. We missed our kids too much to have em' involved in all those snazzy after-school programs. So, we found a NEW school that is right around the corner from us with a catchy name. PUBLIC!

A NEW JOB - for Dad. It's called "flipping burgers". After he was laid off at the end of last year, he was thrilled to have the opportunity to do something NEW and different. And, sometimes, he "brings home the bacon" both figuratively and literally!

A NEW LOOK - for me! No more salon visits to touch up my roots. No more trips to the day spa for waxing, manicures and pedicures. And, let's just stop wearing make-up altogether! I mean, where am I goin' all gussied up anyway? The library? Speaking of the library, did you know that you can check out books FOR FREE? How 'bout that, huh?

A NEW VEHICLE - It's called A BUS! Perhaps you've seen them about town. No need to gas 'em up, or look for a parking place for 'em...why, it's kinda like my family and I (and a couple dozen strangers) are toolin' around town in a BIG LIMO!

Yes, It's a new year, a new decade, and, a new way of living. Oops, gotta run to the corner to catch the 10:35 local. It goes right to my Doctor's office. (Before we lose our insurance, I'm looking into getting a NEW HIP!)

All the best to all of you,
(And may you have a "hip" 2010 too!)
